Opportunity
Each summer, Bertram Capital’s Investment Team hires interns for the summer. This is a learning opportunity for the interns, and also adds capacity to our team.
Environment
Interns work on a small team and are exposed to a broad range of private equity investing work streams including evaluation of new platform investments, identification and execution of add-on acquisitions, investment thesis development, portfolio management, and deal execution.
Timing and Location
This internship is full-time (40 hours/week) and lasts 8 -10 weeks from June – August. Exact start and end dates will be finalized closer to the internship. Interns must be located in the Bay Area to participate in this opportunity.

Who is it for?
- Students enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a minimum 3.5 GPA or equivalent and high ACT/SAT scores.
- A general understanding of financial statements, modeling and capital structure, plus a long-term goal of pursuing a career in Private Equity.
- Strong analytical skills, strategic insight, industry perspective and intellectual curiosity.
- A self-starter with excellent communication skills..
Compensation
The expected salary range for this internship is: $12,000- $18,000. Offered salary may be based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
Interview Process
The interview process may vary from year to year but will likely include the following components:
- Questionnaire regarding your interests, availability, and industry knowledge
- Multiple Zoom interviews with Talent Acquisition and Investment Team
- Technical Case Study – completed on your own time
- In-person interview, including meetings and social opportunities with various members of the Bertram team.
